I’m Peter—a husband, dad, pastor, and passionate believer in the power of the local church. I grew up in the Northeast as a pastor’s kid, watching my parents faithfully serve their church. That legacy planted something deep in me. By the summer of my sophomore year in high school, I knew: God was calling me to give my life to building the Church.
That calling has taken me on a wild and meaningful ride—through Bible college, seminary, full-time ministry, and church planting. And I’ve loved every bit of it. I’m here to help people find hope, live with purpose, and follow Jesus in a way that impacts the world around them.
Our Church Planting Story
Hope City Church was born out of a deep desire to bring real hope to real people in Sarasota. Back in 2016, God stirred something in my heart—and in the hearts of a few others—to plant a church that would be more than just a Sunday gathering. We dreamed of a place where people could truly find hope and experience home. In January 2017, that dream became a reality, and Hope City opened its doors with the mission to be an anchor of hope in our community .
Since day one, we’ve been passionate about helping people connect with God in a way that changes their lives. We believe that God’s love and grace are the most magnetic forces on the planet, and we long to see people experience what Jesus calls “life to the fullest!” Our mission is simple: help people find hope and experience home. We’re not just a church in Sarasota—we’re a church that’s for Sarasota. That means we’re committed to loving our city, serving our neighbors, and being a movement of people bringing the hope of Christ to our community .
A Bit More About Me
I met my wife, Tiffany, in college. She fell for me immediately. 😉 We’ve been married for over two decades and have three amazing kids: Noah, Grace, and Leah. I hold degrees from Philadelphia Biblical University and Biblical Theological Seminary, where I focused on how the Church can be both strategic and missional in its community.
I am the founding pastor of Hope City Church in Sarasota, Florida–a life-giving church designed to help people take their next steps in their journey of faith.
If I’m not preaching or planning something with our team, you’ll probably find me spearfishing, watching the sunset at the beach, or hanging with my wife and kids.
